I am honored and grateful that this book is in your hands. I will do the best I can to help you and your loved ones lead the most fruitful lives you can by shedding my experiences that I've been through during my life right up to the point of writing this book.
I was born in the Bronx, New York in Parkchester General Hospital which no longer exists. At the time of my birth back on September 27, 1967, my parents had already moved up - state to Monroe, New York a few years prior because my dad did not want to raise a family in the city. I have two older siblings which were also born in the same hospital. I grew up in Monroe which is a fast growing town not too far from New York City better known as “The Big Apple.” Monroe is located in southern Orange County in the State of New York. The Town encompasses three Villages: the Village of Harriman, the Village of Monroe and the Village of Kiryas Joel . A small portion of the Village of Harriman is in the Town of Woodbury . The Town of Monroe comprises 2.9% of Orange Counties land mass. As of the 2000 Census, Monroe has the largest population of any town in Orange County at 31,407 people. Unfortunately though, all of the quaint little “mom and pop” stores and shops that we had here in Monroe when I was a child have died off due to a few major store chains. Now some of the streets in town have virtually become desolate. How ironic that the populace is growing and the rich history of Monroe has virtually disappeared.

I’ve had epilepsy my entire life from the age of one. It caused a lot of frustration for my parents as all parents want to take there child’s disease away from them so that a normal life may ensue. In spite of societies’ ignorance on the topic, I always took the perspective as an adult that I am indeed a normal member of society. As a child, however, I had a totally different perspective.
Now being the Christian I am, I’m very thankful for seeing epilepsy in a whole new light. Before 2007, I took everything for granted and did not appreciate life very much; Let alone God’s bounty that he graced all of us with. Well, that has all changed now. Here is my story…
